SHEREENA'S SOLUTION FOR PAINTING IN THE HOT WEATHER!
The very hot weather we have been experiencing makes it near impossible to paint. Paints don't flow properly and dry too quickly meaning you don't get the finish you were going for.
My absolute top recommendation for painting in warmer weather with water-based paints is to add General Finishes Extender to your paint – this is one of the best products on the market and it is in my top 10 products for your paint toolkit! I won’t use anything else to extend paint drying times and improve flow during this kind of weather.
TOP TIP: Great for top coats! Adding a few drops gives you the extra time you need to apply and lay out the top coat without it drying too quickly!

In the Spotlight this week is... little ol' me! I spent a sunny afternoon creating this garden bench makeover!
First I prepped the bench by stripping it back and sanding with the Staalmeester Scraper Stripping Knife and Abranet Sanding Sheets. I then painted it this gorgeous periwinkle blue colour using Fusion Mineral Paint in Mist. Painting it with the new MAYA 1" Long Oval Clay and Chalk Brush from Daydream Apothecary was an absolute dream - I got a great finish and it was comfortable in my hand I definitely recommend their fab brushes!
I love how this blue bench turned out - such a simple but effective update for the summer to spruce up the garden.
