At Shabby Nook we are all about working with fellow creatives and local businesses. We can offer you  flexibility in how you hire a space from us.

Hire our "working workshop space" which is at the back of our premises and can be closed off, with direct access to toilet facilities. Please note this is a working and used space which will have stock tools and equipment surrounding the space available. Can sit 4 - 8 attendees depending on the type of activity. 

Alternatively we have another space available which is the elevated area at the back of the shop which is larger, spacious well lit and clear. Depending on set up space could easily accomodate 12 - 16 seated attendees.

We are located in Burton Upon Trent 82 High Street, DE14 1LD. Ample parking available nearby and local amenities. 

"Working Workshop" Space Hire 

Day Time & Saturday Workshops 

Hire rate of £15 per hour. Allow time for set up and clear down when booking to hire. 

Evening / Sunday Workshops

Elevated Space Hire 12ft x 14ft 

Access maybe required through to the back room, to be discussed at the time of booking.  Semi open to the operation of the main shop but can be made private if required.

Hire cost from £20 per hour. Plus £2 per person attending. Allow time for set up and clear down when booking to hire.

Evening / Sunday Workshops

Hire cost from £25 per hour. Plus £2 per person attending. Allow time for set up and clear down when booking to hire.

What's Included

We have use of pop up rectangle tables (sit 4) can be arranged however you prefer. Stools and chairs and use of the kitchen facilities and toilet. Additionally we may have display props available but is not guaranteed. We will need to discuss at the time of booking. 

Guests can bring own refreshments or you can provide. We will provide tea, coffee, squash and bottled water. 

If you prefer to bring your own tables / seating or other props for your event no problem. Please let us know in advance so that the space can be cleared accordingly. 

You will be responsible for your own marketing and managing of bookings. However, we are happy to advertise your event on our website including a backlink to your own website / calendar / payment system. and social media. if  you would like us to support your marketing, please provide event details, relevant images, content and graphics and the link you would like us to use.

Pop Up Showcase Hire 

Hire a space for a week at a time including use of a busy road facing window for display. The cost of is from £100 per week. You can work your own pop up area or we can take sales on your behalf. The cost of this this option is from £150 per week. You will need to provide us with your payment software / cashbox / float and stock list. 

You can get together as a collaboration with another business to share costs and workload but whether you do that or go it alone it offers you the chance to get face to face with your customers.

You are responsible for marketing and driving footfall to your pop up, but we are happy to support you as much as we can through our social media channels, active website and newsletter emails. To do this we will require quality content graphics photos or video. 

Whats Included

The space available is to the rear of the shop in an elevated position. But you will also have a window to display and advertise in. Pop up tables, and possibly the use of other retail equipment but no guaranteed. To be discussed at the time of booking. Use of kitchen and toilet facilities.

Set Up

Set up will be on a Sunday afternoon ready for opening Monday. Clear down will be at the end of the week Saturday after shop closure.

Terms of booking

A booking deposit of £20 is required at the time of booking to secure your date and space. If you decide to cancel your event the deposit is none refundable under any circumstance. 

The remaining balance is due no later than 4 weeks before the date of your event. Or due upon booking if less than 4 weeks notice. 

If you decide to cancel the event we require 4 weeks notice. If you cancel after this time, we cannot offer any refund.

The space should be left as it was found, any damages to the space, borrowed equipment, toilet or kitchen you are responsible and liable to put right / pay for.
